In order to help heal our community’s broken hearts after the loss of Mia Smolin who loved spending time in the Children’s Room at our beloved Library, we are launching a campaign to raise funds to renovate Mia’s favorite corner of the library.

One of Mia’s greatest joys were books. She read them every day, slept with them in her crib, and loved visiting the library to discover new stories, play, and join in on story time. The library was her happy place, a special place she visited several times a week.

To celebrate that joy and carry on her memory, we envision an updated children’s reading and play area that will be a bright, modern, welcoming space where kids can spend time with books, play, and explore, just as Mia loved to do. We look forward to sharing the innovative design plan with all of you as soon as it is finalized—stay tuned!

All funds raised will benefit the renovation and ongoing endowment of Mia’s Corner.
